In the world of homemade delights, there's hardly anything more satisfying than homemade pasta. A spiral dough mixer turns the process of making pasta dough into an effortless pleasure. In this article, we share not only the benefits of using a spiral mixer for pasta dough but also present a simple recipe that will allow you to create your own fresh pasta in no time.
The Benefits of Spiral Mixing for Pasta Dough
The consistent and powerful kneading motion of spiral mixing is ideal for making pasta dough. It enables perfect mixing of ingredients and ensures the dough reaches the desired consistency—elastic, smooth, and easy to roll out. The spiral mixer takes away the tedious manual labor and lets you focus on what matters most: enjoying fresh, homemade pasta.
Recipe: Basic Dough for Homemade Pasta
Ingredients:
300 g durum wheat semolina
200 g wheat flour (type 00)
4 eggs, size M
A pinch of salt
Preparation:
1. Preparation: Make sure the spiral dough mixer is clean and dry. Prepare all ingredients.
2. Mixing the dry ingredients: In a large bowl, combine the durum wheat semolina and wheat flour. Add a pinch of salt and mix the dry ingredients well.
3. Adding the eggs: Create a well in the center of the flour mixture and crack the eggs into it. Using a spoon or your hands, begin to gently combine the eggs with the flour.
4. Kneading in the spiral mixer: Use the spiral mixer to knead the dough for about 8-10 minutes until a homogeneous, elastic mass is formed.
5. Let it rest: Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and let it rest for at least 30 minutes. This allows the dough to relax and develop its gluten-friendly texture.
6. Rolling out and shaping: After resting, you can roll out the dough using a pasta machine or rolling pin and shape it into the desired pasta form as you like.
7. Cooking: Cook the fresh pasta in plenty of salted water for 2-4 minutes, until al dente.
Boundless Enjoyment
The spiral mixer makes preparing pasta dough easier than ever. Experiment with different types of flour, add herbs or spices, and create your own pasta creations. From tagliatelle to ravioli to colorful gnocchi—your creativity knows no bounds. Experience the joy when you serve your homemade pasta and be enchanted by the delightful aromas of fresh noodles. The spiral mixer quickly becomes your indispensable kitchen partner for the world of homemade pasta. Bon appétit!

The My Miss Baker is designed for daily use at home. Patented dipping arm technology The patented immersion arm technology is the secret of success of Bernardi dough mixers. Two dough hooks with different shapes knead the dough as if by hand. The advantage is obvious. The kneading machine does not fatigue, it kneads constantly even over a longer period of time. The movements are based on those of a human being. Due to the high-quality mechanism, no heat is generated, so that the dough can develop in peace. The My Miss Baker is colourful. It is available in six cheerful colours that perfectly match any environment: sage, lime, red, white, pink and anthracite. With a fixed speed of 42 beats per minute, My Miss Baker® is easy to use and perfect for preparing base dough for bread, pizza, focaccia and shortbread. The model is single-stage. The dough hooks are removable, while the bowl is fixed for safety. The immersion arm kneaders work perfectly with as little as 20% of the dough quantity! You can start with 0.5kg of flour and go up to 1.8kg of flour. This is enough for a pizza dough for up to 12 pizzas and corresponds to a dough quantity of 3kg. Accessories: Apron Microfibre towel to wipe the dough bowl two dough scrapers, large and small Operating and maintenance instructions Materials used The inside of the machine is made of different materials, the housing is made of iron for the PRO and PRO XL models or AISI 304 for the stainless steel version. The shafts and the main rotating parts are made of C45 or stainless steel, there are aluminium castings, brass parts and plastic parts. The MISS BAKER has a motor for the movement of the arms and a gear motor that drives the movement of the bowl. There are 2 gear wheels in the gears (both the large machines and the Miss). The large machines have a gear wheel and a worm for the movement of the bowl, to which the movement is transmitted by a V-belt. Miss Bakers have an additional cogwheel and a poly V-belt that transfers the movement from the motor to the gearbox. The motor driver (inverter) is mainly made of plastic, but inside there are various materials (electronic boards, cables, copper windings ...). All professional mixers are driven by motor inverters, i.e. high-efficiency asynchronous motors controlled by electronic drivers with frequency vector control. This technology not only makes it possible to vary the mixing speed depending on the recipe, but also to achieve high energy efficiency.
