Valoriani baby pizza buns:

Pizzaschnecken

Ingredients Pizza Dough:

  • 1kg flour
  • 600 ml cold water
  • 3 g dry yeast
  • 25 g salt
Knead it into a yeast dough and let it work for one hour at room temperature. Then put it in the refrigerator overnight. The next morning, take it out and put the dough at room tempertaur for about 4-6 hours.

Ingredients Tomato Sauce:

  • canned tomatoes, e.g. Poplo from Mutti
  • a handful of basil leaves
  • a good glug of olive oil
  • a little salt

Filling Ingredients:

  • Mozzarella
  • Your choice: salami, ham, kidney beans

Stir it all together and let it sit for a bit. Watch our basil trick video and your sauce will be super flavorful.
Once your dough has come to room temperature, fire up your oven (wood-burning or home oven). Quarter the dough and spread it out as a large pizza. Spread the tomato sauce, mozzarella and ingredients of your choice on it, roll up the dough from one side so that you have a long dough roll. Now cut pieces about 5 cm wide and position them cut-side down in a baking dish. Now put them in the oven. In a wood-fired oven at about 230 degrees it takes only 15 minutes until the snails are ready, in a domestic oven the time varies.

We wish you bon appétit!
