Pizza Rolls

Ingredients for Pizza Dough:

  • 1kg flour
  • 600 ml cold water
  • 3 g dry yeast
  • 25 g salt
Knead it into a yeast dough and let it work at room temperature for an hour. Then put it in the fridge overnight. The next morning, take it out and let the dough sit in the kitchen at room temperature for about 4-6 hours.

Ingredients for Tomato Sauce:

  • Canned tomatoes, e.g., Poplo by Mutti
  • A handful of basil leaves
  • A good splash of olive oil
  • A bit of salt

Ingredients for Filling:

  • Mozzarella
  • Optional: salami, ham, kidney beans

Mix everything together and let it infuse a little. Watch our video on the basil trick and your sauce will be super aromatic.
Once your dough has reached room temperature, fire up your oven (wood-fired or household oven). Divide the dough into four and spread it out as a large pizza. Spread the tomato sauce, mozzarella, and toppings of your choice, roll the dough from one side so that you have a long dough roll. Then cut it into pieces about 5 cm wide and place them cut side down in a baking dish. And now into the oven. In the wood oven, it only takes 15 minutes at about 230 degrees for the rolls to be ready; the time varies in a household oven.
Enjoy your meal!
