Desserts from Pizza Dough . Ideas .
Sweet Pizza Strips
These are for true sweet tooth lovers. Sugar and cinnamon give the strips a sweet touch. And here's how it goes:
- Spread out the pizza dough, cut into strips (8mm wide, 10cm long)
- Roll the strips in cinnamon and sugar
- Place on a tray or in a mold (so the sugar doesn't ruin the stone in the oven)
- Bake at 200 degrees; if your oven is even hotter, it's best to stay close and expect a very short baking time. The strips are then, so to speak, a flash dessert.
- After baking, possibly pour liquid chocolate cream over the sweet strips or dip them in.
Nutella Pizza. This is probably the most well-known dessert made from pizza dough. Easily shape another pizza, spread it generously with Nutella according to your taste, and put it in the oven. After baking, it can be decorated with fruits or nuts. Yummy.
Sweet Rolls of All Kinds.
Chocolate rolls, nut rolls, poppy seed rolls, cinnamon rolls - the sky's the limit for your imagination.
- Spread pizza dough in a round shape
- Spread with a desired filling (e.g., nut mix made from chopped nuts, sugar, and butter), leave 2cm of the edges free
- Roll up the dough and cut into 5cm wide pieces
- Place dough pieces on their cut side in a mold or on a tray, brush with butter
- Bake at 200 degrees until they are browned
Tip for Baking Dough Rolls:
The oven should not be more than 200 degrees, otherwise the rolls are dark on the outside and soft inside. There are three options:
- Baking directly on the stone creates a bit of a mess in the oven, but it ensures the rolls are very likely to be evenly baked through.
- Baking in a casserole takes longer, and it can happen that the rolls in the middle are not fully done. But they are easy to transport in the form.
- Baking on a tray that is ideally already preheated. No mess in the oven, but the rolls are laid out individually and bake evenly.
