5 questions for... Christian Soens

At the DreiHefen in Koblenz, everything revolves around pizza, beer, and wine. For this, owner Christian Soens has opted for the absolutely perfect pizza oven, an Izzo Napoletano from Izzo Forni. This oven, which heats up to 480 degrees, creates the perfect Pizza Napoletana. Christian Soens prepares his dough in a tried and true traditional way, and the ingredients must be of the highest quality. They come from Italy or directly from the region, as he tells us. Unusual combinations give his Neapolitan pizza that special something and make his guests' hearts beat faster.

1. What dish do you most like to prepare in your oven and why?
Neapolitan pizza - absolutely!!!

2. What makes your oven special for you?
The reliability, the easy handling, and its appearance as an eye-catcher.

3. What is your tip for amateur cooks who have a wood-fired oven?
I don't have any.

4. Where or for whom would you like to cook sometime?
We are happy with every single guest who wants to try our Neapolitan pizza, and even more so when we see the smile on the guest's face after trying it.

5. Can you share your favorite recipe with us that we can publish on our blog? 
Our current favorite recipe is our "new" creative and mega delicious Neapolitan pizza on the menu. "HONEY BEET NUTS" with buffalo ricotta, goat cream cheese, Fior di Latte mozzarella, beetroot, walnut, orange blossom honey.
